Tired of Feeling Defeated? You CAN Have Victory in Your Christian Life!

image

You have been struggling in your walk with God. You aspire to walk much closer with God. You want very much to live a life of Victory. Within your heart, you have been longing for more than what you have been experiencing. This letter is TO you and FOR you. I desire to “Add Value” to you in sharing this article with you.

Living what we call the ”Abundant Christian Life” is one of the greatest needs facing Christians today.  At the outset, please understand that Victory in your life is exactly what Jesus desires for you.   In John 10:10 Jesus said: “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”  This Abundant Life which Jesus desires for Christians IS available to EVERY Christian.  It was never meant to be an exclusive club where only a few could live and enjoy this life.   God wants YOU to live this style of life.

Recently, I drove to Illinois, (I live in Indiana), to visit my aged Parents.  I asked my Dad how important that it was too  he and Mom that all six of their Children graduate from high school, since they both went through the eighth grade.

His response led me to prepare this article to inspire you.  He said we did without.  We did not have toys.  We made our baseball out of trash bags covered with yarn and tape.  We made our bats out of a 1 by 1 board.   We chiseled into a reasonable form of a bat.  He literally walked into school barefoot during the summer.  During the winter they would go to a thrift store and get shoes which always had holes in the bottom.  He would cut and place a cardboard box inside his shoe in order to walk to school in the snow.

At age 12, he was working two hours BEFORE school and then two hours AFTER school.    He would then go home to do his chores, which were quite extensive.  He quit school after the eighth grade so he could work 8 – 10 hours a day shoveling coal, plus continue working the job before going to the coal mines and then work his night job. He would often work 16 hours a day.

Listen to what he said next.  “Jim, I always wanted better for all of your kids.”  Did you know that your Heavenly Father wants BETTER for You, just as my earthly Father desired for me?   What a truly liberating this thought should be to you right now.

Your Father does not desire you to “just get by” spiritually;  He does not wants to see you experiencing so little joy in your life;  Your Father does not want your Prayer and Bible study to be so boring.  God deeply desires more for you!

Aren’t you tired of feeling a great distance between you and God?   Are you weary of “just showing up for Church?”   Aren’t you exhausted from the mediocrity in your “relationship” with Jesus?   Have you not experienced far too much defeat in your Christian walk?

In my next articles, we will ask and answer the following questions together:

  • ·         What really is the “Abundant Christian Life” Jesus spoke of?
  • ·         How can we tell if we are living a “Defeated Christian Life?”
  • ·         What must we do in order to “Enter into” the walk which Jesus and our Father desire of us?

I will further develop the Biblical answers to these questions and share them with you SOON!

Are YOU 100% sure that you are going to Heaven?

image

If you were to die today, are you 100% sure that you would go to Heaven?  Or would you say, “I would like to know, but I am not certain. I know that I want to go to Heaven, but how can anyone know for certain?”

In my writing today, I want to write to each of you personally, so that I will be speaking to you, regardless of the miles which we might be separated by.

The Bible’s Salvation MessageThe Bible clearly states that there is only one way for anyone to go to Heaven once they die. John 14:6:  “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.”
In Acts 4:12 the Bible says, “Neither is there salvation in any other; for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

As you sit in your chair listening to my words, you are about to ask the most important question in the world to me:  ”Pastor, what does the word saved mean?” The Biblical use of the word means to be delivered from danger. The danger which awaits you if you are not saved, is the danger of dying and immediately going to a horrible place which the Bible calls hell.  The best news I have for you is that Jesus Christ has made it possible for you to be delivered from this place of torment.

The Way to Heaven

Let me explain to you what the Bible says everyone must do in order to go to Heaven.
If you are going to be saved from hell, you must first realize that you, like me, are a sinner.    Romans 3:23 says:  “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”  Scripture teaches us that sin is disobedience to God.  This sin could be stealing, murder, alcohol and drug addiction, or it could be not doing all that God wants you to do.   Nonetheless, you must agree with God that you have sinned.   With this acknowledgement of sin, you must also be sorry that you have sinned against God who has only loved and done good by you.

You must now realize that because of your sins, there is a penalty for those sins.    Romans 6:23 says: “For the wages of sin is death..”   This death is a  ETERNAL SEPARATION  from God for all of eternity.  Once you die in your sins, without Jesus Christ, there will NEVER be an opportunity for you to escape this place of torment.
However, God does not want this for you,Now comes the most amazing and wonderful news I can share with you.

Jesus WANTS you to be saved and to spend an eternity with Him in Heaven.Romans 5:8 makes this very clear. “But God commendeth (Proved or Demonstrated) His love towards us (You and Me) in that while we were yet sinners, CHRIST DIED FOR US!” Wow! Amazing, isn’t it? What this means is that while the penalty of sin is eternal separation from God, Jesus paid our sin debt for us.  While on the Cross, Jesus had the sins of the world, and more personally, your sins and mine laid upon His body.II Corinthians 5:21 says:  “Foe He hath made Him (Jesus) to be sin for us, who knew NO SIN; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.”  Jesus had ALL of our sins laid upon Him and then He shed his blood to pay for our sin debt.  Hebrews 9:22 teaches us this truth:  “For without the shedding of blood is no remission (or forgiveness) of sins.”

Finally, if you are going to be saved from hell and go to Heaven when you die, you must now “sincerely” ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins and place your “complete” faith in He alone to take you to Heaven.
Romans 10:9-10 teaches us this fact:  “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thine heart that God hath raise Him from the dead, (here is YOUR Promise from God)  THOU SHALT BE SAVED.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

Now is the time you must decide what you are going to do with Jesus.

Will you receive Him into your heart or will you reject Him?   What you do with Jesus right now will determine WHERE you will spend eternity! Romans 10:13 issues you an invitation to Heaven:   ”For whosoever (this means you) shall call upon the name of the Lord, you SHALL be saved.”

Making the Decision to Follow Jesus

The first prayer to pray is the very one found in Luke 18:13:   “God be merciful to ME a sinner.”   If you will ask for God’s forgiveness right now, and invite Jesus to come into your heart, you WILL be saved immediately!!

See Romans 10:13 once again. You might delay to make this decision, waiting for a better time.  Listen to what God’s counsel to you.

II Corinthians 6:2:  “Behold, now is the accepted time; behold now is the day of salvation.”

Why is it so critical that you make your decision for God today?    Once again, I point you to God’s Word:
Proverbs 27:1:  “Boast not thyself of tomorrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.”  Will you pray sincerely the above prayer right now inviting Jesus to save you?If you sincerely prayed and invited Jesus to save you, would you please comment below and let me know or contact me atJimKilgoreMinistries@gmail.com.   I have written this specifically for you and I would love to rejoice with you.  Also, if you would request, I will be glad to send you a free Bible study which will help you to learn how to pray, how to study the Bible, and other important lessons designed with you in mind. What are your thoughts on this article? What Difference Does a Day Make?

image

What difference does a day make?  None you might think.  Britain’s King George III obviously felt this way as he wrote the day’s activities in his diary: “July 4, 1776–Nothing happened today.”

Nothing happened?   Really?  Are you kidding me?  That day  my country  was born.   America’s birth marked an epoch in history for the cause of human freedom.  Yet King George despised the day of small beginnings. He failed to realize the importance of that day.  He obviously viewed it as insignificant.  Perhaps he thought,  as a trend which would, as a vapor, soon  vanish away.

We have no idea what seeds of greatness the African prayer chain, which currently stands at exactly 250 godly Pastors and their  praying  will do for “ALL” of Africa.

After visiting Africa and witnessing the mighty hand of God in saving 152 souls in such a short period of time, through preaching and street soul-winning, Mufokase now  has many people going out evangelizing and soul winning.  Please, do not despise the days of small beginnings!   God  IS  at work in Africa. I have been communicating with Pastors all over Africa and learning of their intense desire and earnest prayer for revival.  Yes God is starting a movement in Africa which can only be quenched by our sin, unbelief, and casual approach to Christianity.

Don’t underestimate the power of one or two godly men and women begging Heaven for a spiritual movement which can change the course of a Nation!

II Chronicles 7:14 says: “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven. And forgive their sin, and heal their land.”

As we look into God’s Promise for Revival,  let us take notice of the times in which this Revival promise was written.

The book begins with Solomon’s plans to build the temple in Jerusalem and ends with its destruction. Between the dedication and destruction of Solomon’s temple is about 384 years.

King Solomon heard these words at the dedication of the temple. He is told by God that disobedience and rebellion will result in judgment upon the nation of Israel. This verse is God’s promise that those who turn from their sins; call on Him and walk in His ways will experience a revival of the presence and blessing of the Lord.   Now, this is a verse to Israel, but it speaks to every generation as well. Those who meet the conditions detailed in this verse will experience the promises mentioned in this verse.

Dear Pastor, dear Christian, we need revival!  We need Revival!  We MUST HAVE A Revival!   It is not even an option anymore.  It has to happen!

We Believers love our meetings; but we need more than a meeting, we need a revival.    We need something that we cannot produce by our ownefforts. Revival is a supernatural event. It comes only by the sovereign decree of the Lord.

We can have a “meeting” where we show up and sing beautiful songs;  we can have a “meeting” where the Evangelist shows up;  we can have a “meeting” where visitors show up.  However,  what every  Country, Continent, and Church needs is for God to show up and meet with His Church!!         All is in vain until the Holy One of God descends down to meet with the Believer.  When God shows up, then things begin to happen!  Souls will be saved;  sins in the Church will be confessed and forsaken; the believer will see God in His glory!

No,  we cannot have a revival unless the Lord gives it! We can only meet the requirements set forth in the above verse, and that will make revival much more likely.

During the next few days, please get alone with God and  express your desire to have God show up in your life, your Church, your Country, and yes—Your Continent!!  Remind God of your intense desire to Pay whatever Price is necessary to change the course of a Continent for His glory.

The Psalmist, in Psalm 85:6 prayed to His Father, “wilt thou not revive USagain: that thy people may rejoice in thee?”
